Balancing relative states of health tricky act
Health policy-makers need to be able to measure the effects of their decisions on people’s health-related quality of life (HRQoL). The EQ-5D-5L – which stands for the European Quality of Life, 5 Dimensions, 5 Levels (i.e. EQ-5D-5L) – is a system for classifying and valuing people’s health. A group of researchers based at the University of Otago used 1000minds to value people’s HRQoL as represented on the EQ-5D-5L.
