1000minds now has an application instance in the European Union with all data storage and processing performed in the EU. Furthermore, 1000minds is headquartered in New Zealand, which is recognized by the European Commission as GDPR adequate.
The new EU site (eu.1000minds.com) is completely independent of the original 1000minds site (app.1000minds.com), which runs in the US on Microsoft Azure. Our US site also offers adequate protection due to Microsoft’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; however, some organizations would prefer to operate with the assurance that their EU data is stored and processed in the EU.
How it works
Remember that these sites operate completely independently, so decision models and surveys you create on one can’t be accessed from the other.
Can I have an account in both the US and Europe?
Yes. The sites are completely independent so you will need to sign up a new account in Europe if you want to use the EU site.
If you are licensed to use one region, we will update your license to match in the other region as well.
Can I transfer my account from the US to Europe?
Can I wipe my account from one region?
Yes, you can wipe your account from your account settings page. This will only remove your account from the region you’re logged in to.
Can I use the European region if I’m not based in Europe?
Can I work with people across regions?
A project is stored in only one region. If you share a project with someone who only has an account in the other region, they will be invited to create an account in your region.
